MISSIONS

MAKING DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS

NOW ENTERING THE MISSION FIELD

Here at Christian Hills, we maintain a strong focus on missions, both local and abroad. As a church, we support six home-grown missionaries. We also offer multiple open-invitation mission trips where we encourage anyone who feels called to participate. While the missionaries need and love financial support, the most powerful support you can offer is prayer. Check out what our missionaires are doing and stay in touch.

Jon & Anja Erickson | Guinea West Africa

Jon started his mission work in 1985 in Liberia where he planted churches. Due to the civil war, he moved to Guinea West-Africa in the early 90’s. There he served among the Mano tribe in the most southern part of the country. Together with his friend and colleague they started many churches in the region. They started a primary school and now a junior high school. At the start of the new millennium God gave a vision for them to start a health clinic and they started building in 2001. Today the health clinic has become a Medical Center and we are in the process of nationalization (turning it over the nationals). In 2002 Jon married Anja, an RN who had worked at a missions hospital in Gabon since ’91. Jon works in community development and Anja teaches and works as an RN at the medical Center.

Jeany Schmidt | Guinea West Africa

Jeany Schmidt’s has been called to preach in the church to encourage the body and help them to have a deeper relationship with Jesus and a transformed life. Through teaching, she is able to help build deep relationships amongst the lost in order to better share Jesus.

God has given her the unique opportunity to print scripture portions and individual books of the Bible as they are translated into the 39 languages of Guinea. By doing this those who have never heard the gospel can have it in their own language that they may understand and respond to it.
